sometimes my colleagues ask me why i bother keeping a blog, even with how busy my schedule's been recently. sometimes i ask myself the same question. and sometimes, just every so often, i receive a reminder in letter form.

after my recent post on complexity theory, one curious reader reached out to me, eager to know more about how alchemy and information could coincide. although it has a long history, it's not easy to find information on; i took the time to find references and articles for them, just happy to have introduced someone to a new part of our wonderful art that they might never have found otherwise.

as previously mentioned, i needed some Critellium to continue my ordinary work; and with all of this theory floating around in my mind, i thought to apply some of it to prove how awful this formula is, *objectively*. and... it turned out better than i thought, actually, there's a couple of pieces in here i really like! it doesn't take much to reduce the input to a stream of Reactive Silver, a far nicer substance to work with here, and a bit of clever metallurgy can turn it into a Reactive Electrum stream to work with, too.

the exact proportions here aren't what i'd like, as indicated by the awkward Gold waste chain - while it never hurts to have a bit of spare Gold, the Critellium is ironically likely more valuable. it took me far too long to "stick the landing", as it were, and go the final mile; i wished to do it a much lower period too, but that hugely complicated the final assembly process. in a sense, i'm lucky to have even gotten it to completion.

anyways, this one's for all of you reading along. thank you for giving me the motivation to keep going, and the chance to bring more people into our incredible field.
